The 2021 Technical Judges

We received over 150 applications and 25 entries for the 2021 Golden Shears. These were carefully scrutinised by a panel of expert Technical Judges during the First Round of judging to determine the 18 finalists.

Each entry must comprise of two garments to be worn together, the patterns they were cut from and the entrant’s original illustrations. They are judged anonymously by each of our five judges with marks awarded for the interpretation of design, accuracy of cutting and craft tailoring skills.
